Good Deed Project: Day 11

I had to go by Michaels to pick up a few things for the shop. The place was packed with shoppers, boxes were everywhere, and the checkout lines were looooong. As you can imagine, this did not make for pleasant conversation with other shoppers. Everyone had somewhere they had to be and no one felt like they should have to wait to check out. When it was finally my turn at the register I could tell the kid was frazzled and frustrated. I gave the kid my best smile and corniest joke and had him laughing by the time he handed me my receipt.

  1. As a previous Michaels employee I thank you. I am all too familiar with the impatience and small mindedness of customers in Michaels especially around this time of the year. Michaels is super croweded this time of the year, everyones knows this and yet when they come in they think "this time is going to be different"... it never is unfortunatly. However the kindness and understanding of customers is truly a blessing becasue the ladies and gentlemen working the counters are doing their best. This truly is a Good Deed Thank you for this Sam!
