Good Deed Project: Day 3

I went to Safeway yesterday to pick up a few things for my oh-so-delicious dinner. While checking out, I pressed the $1.00 option for their breast cancer awareness donation. I almost always donate a $1.00 to whatever charity or organization the shops have going. Why? Because no matter how broke I am, how tightly I have to pinch my pennies, I can spare a dollar to help those less fortunate/sicker than me.

Realizing this could be my good deed for the day, I asked the cashier if I could change my amount from $1.00 to $5.00. She seemed annoyed by my request, but told me yes she would have to cancel the original donation through her manager. Normally, I would have said never mind because I wouldn't want to hold up the line or make the manager come over, etc.  Instead I told her that would be great.

What was your good deed?
